Sandy, Yeah, most companies think that we're their money machine. Unfortunately, a lot of folks go along with that ridiculous relationship and buy whatever is put under their noses without a thought about savings, conservation or even usefulness. If we'd all protest their approach a little more, they'd be forced to lower prices, support older systems, give better service & faster speeds, etc.. I currently have ten Gmail accounts I use for groups, four ISP addys for more personal stuff and a couple of HotPOP addys that I use for junk (signing up for websites, registrations for purchased items, etc.). Back before I lost my internet connection for those three years, I was juggling 32 different addys. Apparently, I'm calming down as I age. lol Peace, Gman "The only dumb questions are the ones we fail to ask" ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy" <sandy.rick@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, September 21, 2008 10:49 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Sandy's Stupid External :-)) And maybe a 2nd one too. > oh yeah i know all that ;-), but still i think it's been a gmail thing > because it's happening with > this group that is NOT a yahoo group so for once i don't think it can be > blamed on yahoo, lol. > i've been using my gmail account for a number of yrs and occasionally they > do have a hiccup. > like last night i started checking the mail for this group and some are > coming in for the second > time and some took 2 days to reach my mail box and some just never came in > at all, and > some i did get to see only when they'd been replied to. > > not getting my own emails was definitely one of the weirdest things to get > used to with gmail, > but i can always go to the website and look in my sent folder if i forgot > what i sent........because > i'm usually pretty fast to clean out my sent and deleted folders in OE. > And > with me it's exactly > the same in that I do get an occasion email I sent in and now THAT seems > weird, lolololol. > > I was having so much trouble with Comcast not being able to download my > mail > that that's the > reason yrs ago i switched to GMail and for the most part have no problems > with them.
