Brenda I am following this thread myself, I want to learn all I can about OE because it is my favorite. I can not help you with the stage that you are at now. It is getting late. I had a problem the other day, stayed up late, got tired, frustrated, finally gave it up for the night, got some rest. The next day, I had a whole new attitude, the frustration was gone. Went back and read all the posts on the subject. Found where I had missed a bunch of suggestions. Started all over again. When you get up, read the help files also for OE, about erased files, see what you find there, deleted files, recovering deleted files, etc. Read all the posts over again. There will be some more posts in the morning to you, a lot of the group has given it up for the night. I wish you well Clint ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brenda" <pima@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 12:38 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: -=PCTechTalk=- > > i think im in the right place but i cant seem to open the file. im not going > to do this all night again, as you can see from my last conversation im too > tired,,as for your problem i did that too ,i forgot to uncheck always open > with this program,,at least i think thats what happened. > thank you EVERY ONE for trying to help me,its been a long day.....or 2 > Brenda > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "BIGMARC" <BIGMARC@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 1:21 AM > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: -=PCTechTalk=- > > > > > > Following the conversation with BRENDA I just try to read my deleted item > folder > > And I then try to open it using NOTEPAD but he then says it was to big for > > NOTEPAD and then ask for WORDPAD.... > > I then say YES and was able to read garbage and text.... > > UNTIL THEN ITS OK... > > > > But now the problem is, if it's a problem, that the .DBX icon on ALL my OE > > folders has been changed for WORDPAD ones..... > > > > QUESTION : IS THAT A PROBLEM or NOT ???? and if yes how to correct that??? > > > > My OE is 5.50 on WIN-98 SE > > > > Good luck to BRENDA and thanks to answer me... > > > > From/De :«BIGMARC» > > . > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Clint D" <driggars@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 12:47 AM > > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: -=PCTechTalk=- > > > > > > > > If this was Brenda's reply, this time it did not have all that scrabble, I > > could actually read it. > > Clint > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Brenda" <pima@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > > Sent: Friday, July 19, 2002 11:06 PM > > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: -=PCTechTalk=- > > > > > > > > > > I am using outlook > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > From: "Linda F.
