Judith,
I don't have a cure for this, but I can tell you that it affects me
occasionally, too. I've found that it tends to correct itself over time,
but the amount of time it takes can vary so much that it gives me no clues
as to the cause of the issue. The next time it happens to me, I plan to see
if Compacting the folder containing the affected message fixes it. You may
want to suggest that she try it herself on whatever folder is holding your
messages to her.

I'll also add that Replies completely ignore the default addy by design.
Instead, they are supposed to take their cue from the address to which the
original was sent. In other words, they look to the data inside the
original message to see what addy should be used for replying to it. Since
that info is inside the original message, I'm hoping that Compacting it also
repairs that info (assuming that's where the problem lies, of course). If
this experiment proves fruitful, it means that your friend's copy of your
message has either incorrect or no info on who had sent it and is reverting
to a different addy (guessing, in a sense) when she hits the Reply button.
Whatever the cause and cure turns out to be, at least know that it has
nothing to do with anything on your end.

Peace,
GMan
