No, well, what I mean is I looked at it and decided not to try it right now. My wife and I have a long standing battle on PIMs. She has a secretary and relies on papers....lots and lots of paper. Of course, her secretary handles the papers for her <chuckle> On the other hand, I HATE paperwork. I don't want a paper copy of a calendar, I want it in the computer. I keep telling her that when she retires in a few years, we're going to HAVE to use a shared computer based PIM/calendar. Barca could be that, but I probably will use Outlook for the contacts and calendar as I already use it and we'd just set it up for a LAN and share what I already have running. This is a=3D3D20 far more sophisticated program | | | than it was when I last looked at it. | | | | | | | | | | | | It is NOT intuitive.....or at least not after | | | learning the=3D20 | | | | | | | | SigMan | | | <G> =3D3D20 To me, Sigman is much easier to set up. | | | Too many=3D20 | | | | | | | | unusual | | | terms in=3D3D20 Kookie Jar. I have to learn the | | | language before I can begin to run=3D3D20 it.=3D3D20 | | | | | | | | | | | | I just spend about three hours editing my signature | | | file, cleaning it=3D3D20 up. Too bad neither Sigman | | | or Kookie Jar can import or use the=3D3D20 signature | | | file of the other program. The good news is that | | | editing is=3D3D20 far easier in Kookie Jar then it is | | | in SigMan. Kookie Jar has a neat=3D3D20 feature that | | | will sort the signature alphabetically when you load | | | it=3D3D20 in the editor. That means you can find dups | | | instantly (or near dups).=3D3D20 Out of 1100 | | | signatures, I found probably 100 dups. The | | | actual=3D3D20 editing was also much faster/easier in | | | Kookie Jar. The file was due=3D3D20 for a cleanup | | | anyway. | | | | | | | | | | | | There are some quirks that I'm not sure about. In | | | Sigman the random=3D3D20 generator provides a new | | | signature every few seconds. In KJ, it looks=3D3D20 | | | like the minimum time is one minute. That=3D20 | | | | | | | | may | | | be OK, but it sounds=3D3D20 slow which "could" give | | | dups if I do a couple of e-mails in a row=3D3D20 | | | quickly. There's some other=3D20 | | | | | | | | quirks | | | but I guess I'll figure it out. | | | | | | The signature file is done now....so I have to figure | | | out how to make=3D3D20 it work........<sigh> This | | | is gunna be tough <chuckle> I think I'm=3D3D20 | | | getting too old for this! | | | | | | | | | | | | The good news is I'm listening to the oldies music | | | channel on the=3D3D20 satelite and I'm groovin' here | | | <chuckle. | | | | | | | | | | | | At least groovin' as much as a 57 year old can groove | | | while working on=3D3D20 a computer <G>=3D3D20 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Regards from | | | | | | Bob -- the "Keyboard Cowboy", | | | ,,,,,,,, | | | =3D3DD4=3D3DBF=3D3DD4=3D3DAC | | | Cincinnati, Ohio | | | Scottsdale, Arizona | | | --------------------------------- | | | Thursday, 3/10/2005, @ 11:47:12 PM EST | | | --------------------------------- | | | To laugh often and much; to win the respect of | | | intelligent=3D20 | | | | | | | | people | | | and the affection of children...to leave the world a | | | better place...to know even one life has breathed | | | easier because you have lived. =3D3D20 This is | | | to have succeeded. | | | | | | | | | | | | -- Ralph Waldo Emerson | | | | | | | | | -- | | | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | | | | | | | | To unsub or change your email settings: | | | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | | | | | To access our Archives: | | | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | | | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | | | | | | | | | | | For more info: | | | =20 | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=3D3D3Dpctechtalk | | | | | | | | | | | | | -- | | | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | | | | | | | | To unsub or change your email settings: | | | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | | | | | To access our Archives: | | | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | | | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | | | | | | | | | | | For more info: | | | //www.freelists.org/cgi- | | | bin/list?list_id=3D3Dpctechtalk | | | | | | | | | -- | | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | | | To unsub or change your email settings: | | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | | | To access our Archives: | | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | | | | | For more info: | | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=3D3Dpctechtalk | | | | | | | | -- | | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | | | To unsub or change your email settings: | | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | | | To access our Archives: | | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | | | | | For more info: | | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=3Dpctechtalk | | | -- | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | To unsub or change your email settings: | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | To access our Archives: | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | For more info: | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=3Dpctechtalk | | | -- | <Please delete this line and everything below.> | | To unsub or change your email settings: | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | To access our Archives: | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | For more info: | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk -- <Please delete this line and everything below.> To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
