JoAnn & Gman Where are you located? I have a couple of sticks of 512 DDR2 ram I am not using... (I will have to ask my other half to find them.) If I could loan them to you to get your machine going..and then you would have to send them back to me. This machine came with 1 GB of RAM which is two sticks of 512 mb matched. This is the type that has to be matched. I do not know if they will work to get you up and going. They are either PC 2800 or PC 3200. These may be too old for you..I do not know. They could be the wrong type. And..my other half has to find them.. lol! IF we did not put them in his machine already... tee hee... Let me know if you are interested... and Gman..let me know if they would work.. and then I will ask my other half. No sense bringing it up and finding out you cannot use them. I should point out that there are ALWAYS folks who have problems with any combination of RAM & boards, but this one has OCZ's attention. Please read the following two pages for clarification. http://wapurl.co.uk/?OZS3M9H http://wapurl.co.uk/?IMMSTON From what I've read at various sources, some people don't experience this problem at all while others do. If you're not afraid to give it a go, it's a killer combination for sure, once it's working. According to the OCZ forum mod, 1T should work up to DDR2-800 (which is what the board supports), above that, 2T is basically a must (and I suggest you avoid). This means the rating is basically on the cusp and really depends on the individual sticks you receive. Since the mainboard defaults this timing to 1T, if either one of the RAM modules just barely passed their QC tests, it may give you issues because the RAM will require the timing to be set at 2T before it'll boot. Of course, you can't adjust the timings unless you can at least get into the BIOS. This is why I said earlier that some folks have gotten around this by initially installing cheaper sticks just to get into the BIOS to make the necessary changes. So, if you have access to a cheap stick of DDR2, this will not be that big of an issue to you. Otherwise, I have to suggest we look elsewhere.
