Not sure what core mail handling is, but Outlook express has always had enough
horsepower for my needs and I suspect many others here as well.

I'm not knocking it, I've tried it and it doesn't do enough in core mail
handling for me My wife, kids and friends use it, but they aren't picky about
where the
mail goes, what is dumped and how, and they'd rather have the fluff than
  the horsepower.

            | I do think this is a one time setup ..and in any
            | other program.. it would
            | NOT be all that different.
            |
            | You still have to 'setup' the filters to work..and if you
            | already had mail
            | sent..and wanted to go back and filter them..you would have
            | extra steps that
            | one time too.
