Sandi,
No, I was referring to any installed app you might wish to Move
elsewhere. I used IE as an example of one you might want to either Move (to
a separate partition, perhaps) or Rename.

COA is one of those rare apps that doesn't have or need an installation
routine. It can be run from any location, including a USB thumb key. As
you suggested, the best place for it would be inside the Program Files area,
just to keep it with all of the other apps. But, the app itself doesn't
care where it is (as long as the path statement contains less characters
than the allowed max -which is 256 characters, I think). In other words, it
won't do any harm to run it from right where it is. I place it in the
Program Files area before creating a shortcut to it for my QuickLaunch bar
because I'm quite nuts about organizing my stuff. lol

As far as my being appalled at your, well anyone's, lack of
organization, I don't get emotionally involved in those things because
everyone has their own ideas about what works for them. All I try to do is
to make suggestions for making things easier to locate and back up
occasionally. If your system (or lack thereof) works for you, there's
absolutely no reason to change it. :O)

Peace,
GMan
