Coffee at Starbucks sounds good, but wouldn't CompUSA or Best Buy or Circuit City be more appropriate? :-)). I'm about an hour away. Go to Google maps and get driving directions from Disney World to Merritt Island, FL (http://tinyurl.com/3l4lcj) to get an overview of the area and roads. If you have visited the area before and are somewhat familiar with the major hiways, from Disney you would take I-4 East to SR-528 (Toll road. aka The Beachline) Then east on SR528 until you cross the Indian River and you are there. If you have never been to the Kennedy Space Center and you have the time available you should plan a day for that tour and attractions (IMAX movies, Exhibits, Astronaut Hall of Fame etc). From Disney I-4 east to 528 east to SR-407east to SR-405 east to Space Center. http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/ Of course, World Famous Cocoa Beach (http://tinyurl.com/4pmly7) and Ron Jon's Surf Shop (http://tinyurl.com/4ntc66) are nearby. So is Port Canaveral (http://tinyurl.com/532fsr) with several cruise lines and 2 Casino ships (http://tinyurl.com/4ym8rz and http://tinyurl.com/3e9bdu) with daily cruises.
