Hello Gman

I know how to select multiple messages, though your instructions are a very
good guide!

What I am trying to do, having selected the messages, is to grab and drop
them collectively, rather than individually, to a folder, hopefully in
chronological order and not grouped under subject, and not as .dbx files
Having got them, in easily readable form, into the folder, I can then back
them up to my external drive. Indeed, using the excellent PT Replicator, I
can do this automatically

Regards
Masochist
