Yes.  That is exactly what it means.  It is monitoring things as it 
happens.

On 2 of my systems (the laptop and a dual-boot on my desktop) the full 
scan is set for every 30 days.  These are seldom used plus I am extra 
careful about where I go on the net and I use every layer of security 
provided by CA Security Suite.

I'm in the dual-boot now so I can't check to see what the main boot 
system is scheduled for, but I think I have it at 30 days also.  Might 
be 7 or 14 though.
