-=PCTechTalk=- Cable operations..?

I have a question as to how cable (Comcast) operates.. We pay Comcast for
both basic TV and internet services to come into our house. However the TV
is downstairs on one cable line, and the PC is upstairs on another. The TV
service is payed for by my wife and I pay for the internet, but we do get a
'same household' discount for the internet service.

Question: Are these then totally seperate, dedicated lines? Or would both
services come in on each cable line, being differentiated only by the type
of receiver?

In other words, could I add a regular TV to the upstairs computer line via a
split T cable connector, and/or might I also then add a PC to the downstairs
TV service the same way?

Thanks,
Greywoulf
