Hi Re-Na, She said that she looked in "remove programs" (presumably she meant "Add or Remove Programs"), so I'd guess that she saw that there. If that's the only thing that she saw there, then she needs a lot of updates. Have her go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and let it install the updates that it preselects, and keep going back until it doesn't preselect any more. If she wants, she could instead install XP SP2 RC2 from http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/sp2preview.mspx, as long as she understands that it's still in beta. It'll provide better protection against things like hotbar and the like showing up that she didn't deliberately install.
