Works fine when you call another ISP. 2. Works fine with hard drive in another computer. 3. Fails when you install Windows fresh. Does that about sum it up? 1 seems to indicate that the hardware works fine when the software is changed. 2 seems to indicate that the software works fine when the hardware is changed. 3 seems to indicate that it's more of a hardware issue than a software issue. Looks like it might be the kind of thing where several things interact to create the problem. You'll probably have to swap parts one-by-one until you find one (or more) swapped items that makes it work. --Scott. -------list-services-below----------- Regards, John Durham (list moderator) <http://modecideas.com/contact.html?sig> Freelists login at //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi List archives at //www.freelists.org/archives/pchelpers PC-HELPERS list subscribe/unsub at http://modecideas.com/discuss.htm?sig Latest news live feeds at http://modecideas.com/indexhomenews.htm?sig Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
