I had that same problem a long time ago but I cannot seem to remember
the details.. Operating System was Windows ME. I think at the time I was
using Juno as an ISP. I had the paid version at the time and their tech
support tried to help but the best he could come up with so that there might
be an incompatible program on your machine. I put the same Juno on another
computer I was working on and it worked fine. I switched ISP's and had the
same problem. However the tech guy walked me through some kind of set up in
the Dial up networking and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was
all about. With time I may remember. Sorry but right now the best I can do
is sympathize..

Tried that, extending the time to 90 seconds using the new modem with no
change. Here is the modem log of that attempt if anyone can interpret

That's all there is to the event before it was disconnected.
