Yes, I like my backups to be recoverable :)  I was just pointing out the caveat 
that they're not included if you just run "backup database".  It seems to me 
that it would be a good idea to make the backup command include archivelogs by 
default and only have an option to exclude them if desired for some reason - 
maybe in 12x.
