After opening the primary database with resetlogs, all the previous log sequences are discarded and forgotten. The archive log that the standby wants to apply next no longer exists. The next log coming is number 1, which will confuse the heck out of the poor standby, just like my humor. Yeah, opening the database with the resetlogs is not the best thing to do if there is a standby. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
