My database is null by default. Was created with dbca originally as a template, then that is duplicated. Solaris 10, 11.2.0.1. Doug Burns' OakTable article indicates dbua sets it. There may be a difference between the two GUIs used to create a database.. http://www.oaktable.net/content/resource-manager-and-11g Joel Patterson Database Administrator 904 727-2546 ________________________________ From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of fairlie rego Sent: Monday, July 05, 2010 6:36 AM To: pjhoraclel@xxxxxxxxx Cc: oracle-l Subject: Re: 11gR2 - what patch level? * On all my 11.2 database I have set the RM plan to null alter system set resource_manager_plan='' scope=both sid='*'; as mentioned in http://www.oaktable.net/content/resource-manager-and-11g Without this I have seen sessions going into resmgr: cpu quantum for no reason at all. * Also seen some issues with deferred segment creation which is now TRUE by default Thanks Fairlie Rego Senior Oracle Consultant http://el-caro.blogspot.com/ M: +61 402 792 405 --- On Mon, 5/7/10, Peter Hitchman <pjhoraclel@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: Peter Hitchman <pjhoraclel@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: Re: 11gR2 - what patch level? We do not use it, so the last thing I want is it switched on with default settings. Thanks Pete -- //www.freelists.org/webpage/oracle-l
