Yes, that's almost exactly what I've been doing. Although since I don't
use a PC at the TV setup, and since TV Guide became useless, I either
use the Sunday paper TV insert or a printout from zap2it.com.

Thing is, though, I know that the problem is not with the ATSC standard,
but with the way different CE manufacturers and the broadcasters are
implementing the standard. To me, that distinction is very important.
And the other point is, for sure I don't consider an EPG to be important
enough to warrant a dedicated monthly bill.

The PVR I got this Christmas is exactly what I was hoping TiVo was, back
in 1998 when I first saw one. Maybe, if I has access to multiple
hundreds of channels, a better solution would become necessary.
