Local in *small doses*. I think I said "the exception rather than the
rule."

And I don't mean just local public affairs programming, either. I mean
that if your mobile TV, or any OTA TV, is nothing but all the local
broadcasters competing against one another with slightly different
versions of the same local news, or with nothing but local productions
of other types, and this goes on 24/7, then OTA will fail for certain.

We have here one local broacaster, ABC7, WJLA-DT, which transmits "local
point TV" in its 7-3 multiplex. Local productions. I have no idea how
successful it is, however only one broadcaster is doing this. My bet is
that if it had been such a huge hit, others would have joined in the
fray.

And I doubt you would transmit ONLY that "local point TV" programming to
mobile devices, and expect huge success.

But hey, you're the broadcaster. The best I can do is tell you what I'd
tune out.
