30% of households do not have broadband and do not stream TV programming. A 
large percentage of the rest do not meet the criteria set forth in the first 
paragraph of the article, which is why the article clearly states that "most TV 
is not streamed."

Furthermore, just to stop your pointless arguing, I also posted the Pete 
Deutschman article. It said the same thing, without any broadband 
qualifications or any low bar as to how much TV they watch.

Once again you are misinterpreting an article to benefit your position. The 
article does not say that people stream more than they watch linear TV 
services. It identifies some demographic groups where this is the case.


But I already spoonfed this information, Craig. Perhaps if your read, instead 
of going around in circles, you would reduce your senseless arguing. DVD 
daily consumption is utterly insignificant. I told you what it was in my 
first post on the subject, and it is clearly shown in the Business Insider 
article. Now, please tell us what it is, to confirm you got it.

Wrong. Please provide some information on the methodology of the survey you are 
holding onto now. And please stop twisting stats that do not support your 
arguments into support for your arguments.

And sorry, watching DVDs is not insignificant as I pointed out.

You are including all forms of video streaming.

As I repeated a huge number of times: Of the total daily consumption of 
video, which includes all types of TV, about half of that is already 
occurring over the Internet.

Yes, if you include You Tube, Facebook, and every other site that now offers 
video clips. But we are talking about the streaming of program length TV 
content.

This is correct, and it proves that "a massive" amount of streaming is 
already going on. The very recent Business Insider article seems to add all 
linear TV together, whether it was viewed "live" or with a PVR. The data 
clearly show, just about half of daily video consumption is online streaming. 
We do not need to wait "decades" for the Internet to catch up, Craig.


Adding live and PVR recording of live is absolutely fair. This content is not 
being delivered over the Internet.

Enough on this thread, unless you can provide the methodology used in the 
survey that was addressed by the article that started this thread.
