Sorry to disappoint, but I didn't see anything unexpected in the IDC figures.
More or less trends we have seen discussed elsewhere. That Windows 10 will gain
market share in tablets, where tablets include such devices as the Surface Pro,
is not surprising. That's where laptops are going. Call them whatever you like,
they are in effect laptops, with PC style OS.
That Android will reduce in market share was also discussed in other articles,
as some of these Android devices adopt Windows 10 instead.
A continuing drop in slate tablets is also not unexpected.
