You can take this with a grain of salt, as it comes from a notoriously
inaccurate source, but it will be interesting to see haw Bert attacks it...

IDC Sees Microsoft's Windows Doubling Share In Tablet By 2020, Other Moves In
Tablet Space
IDC sees Microsoft Corporation's Windows OS gaining traction in the tablet
segment by the end of the current decade. The research organization expects
global tablet market to rebound in 2018 as "Windows opens door for growth" and
Apple Inc.'s "iPads come out of a slump."
IDC expects Microsoft Windows OS in tablet to reach a market share of 19.3
percent in 2020 compared to 8.6 percent achieved in 2015. For the current year,
its share is expected to reach 11.3 percent. In the same period, Alphabet Inc's
Android market share will drop to 57.8 percent from 67.4 percent in last year.
For the year 2016, Android's share is predicted to fall to 66.2 percent.
Apple's iOS market share is likely to slacken to 22.9 percent in 2020 from 23.9
percent achieved in 2015. However, the OS share would improve from the
predicted level of 22.4 percent in the current year.
The research firm sees the tablet market continue to witness a drop in the
remainder period of the current year to record 11.5 percent fall and shipments
of 183.4 million units. Research Director Jean Philippe Bouchard commented, "We
see smaller slate tablets being offered at very aggressive price points,
leaving little room for revenues outside of a pure volume or platform play like
for Amazon.com, Inc. for instance."
