1 South Polar Skua (first I have ever seen from land;
how often does this happen?)
Meant to weigh in on this - under normal conditions
almost never as Jeff and Alan indicated. However I
have on two occasions seen multiple Skuas in a day
from Boiler Bay in similar weather situations. Both
were also in November and both days also featured
significant flights of Pomarines, as did yesterday.
