I "saw" a skua harassing gulls at Charleston in the late 1970s, but I have come
to doubt the memory. I don't have any notes on it and I suspect that it was a
jaeger.
Steve Heinl found a sick Skua on the beach on a Florence CBC in the 1980s.
I have never seen one on a "seawatch" and I do a lot of seawatches.

After about 8:00 bird movements slowed considerably. Most notable birds were:
1 South Polar Skua (first I have ever seen from land; how often does this
happen?)
Extremely rarely. I have done a lot of sea watches for many years and never
seen a skua from land. Jeff Gilligan
Enjoy the weather!
