I would suggest contacting your local Oregon Department of Fish and
Wildlife official to see if the agency has recently released them in the
area. Often they are also aware if a non-authorized person has released
them.

They didn't seem overly wary. I wonder if one of the homeowners in the
area is feeding them. I don't know if these Turkeys migrated into this
area on their own or if someone released them in the vicinity. Any
comments on that topic would be welcomed. It may be tough to determine for
sure.

The birds were still in the open when I left. I didn't have time to stick
around to see where they went, and the road there is narrow with few
opportunities to pull off the road. There are a lot of oaks in the woods in
that area as well as a lot of open farmland so the habitat is good.
