Dear Craig,
To my knowledge this is the first reliable record for Clackamas County. I have
looked for them down near Molalla but have never seen them there. I wonder if
the birds you saw have moved into the county from Yamhill County or Washington
County. Did they disappear into the woods after you saw them or were they
still out in the open?
Sincerely,
Tim Janzen

Subject: [obol] Wild Turkeys in Clackamas County.
Today at lunchtime, I saw three Wild Turkeys (one tom and two hens) crossing SW
Mountain Road near its intersection with Homesteader Road east of Wilsonville
in Clackamas County. I know Wild Turkeys are not common in the northern
Willamette Valley, but I was surprised to find that there are no eBirds records
of Wild Turkey anywhere in Clackamas County. Does anyone know of other Wild
Turkey sightings in Clackamas County?
