Was thinking Song Sparrow, a more colorful race then the birds found nesting in 
the Rogue Valley.  Have seen similar plumage Song Sparrows wintering in the 
Rogue Valley, this winter in fact.

  Its a Song Sparrow - but not of a race that nests locally (if you are in the 
Willamette Valley).  It is generally paler than the Song Sparrows in Portland, 
and shows more contrasting marks.  Even then it is still an example of a rather 
dark race of Song Sparrow.
