Hi Pamela,
I had an idea that I wasn’t doing the right thing, but wasn’t sure about the
protocol.
Nobody has complained.
I actually would love to see the pics included in the emails, rather than
having to go another step with a link.
Thank you for setting me straight.

Hi, Irene,
I agree that it's a Song Sparrow, but I have no idea how it got that white
collar. I wanted to ask you about something else. You put the photo in the
email message instead sending a link to a photo sharing site. That's the
usual protocol for obol photos.
I'm not going to criticize your method. OBA, which provides the obol service,
is trying to decide whether this rule is even necessary.
What I would like to know is whether anyone has complained about the way you
sent the photo. Sometimes obol readers can be a little bossy! It would help
us decide how to carry on if you could let me know if there are any
complaints.
Thanks, and keep looking at birds,

Hello,
I apologize for the poor quality of the picture. This sparrow came to me
feeder this afternoon (1-23). It has a very conspicuous white collar at the
base of the neck - and I cannot find anything of the kind in my bird book.
Could anybody help me identify this bird?
Thank you,
