I totally agree with Jeff, BUT I have only seen one in spring in Coos on the coast so this is a VERY good find. Once in a decade of hard birding on the south coast... Nice find Dawn and Wink Gross who found one recently at New River in Coos, Tim R Coos Bay ________________________________ From: Jeff Gilligan <jeffgilligan10@xxxxxxxxx> To: tc@xxxxxxxxxx Cc: d_villa@xxxxxxxx; 'OBOL' <obol@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; lcbno@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, May 5, 2013 4:38 PM Subject: [obol] Re: ID Assistance needed - Townsend's Solitaire? If one looks at holly trees that still have berries there is a good a fair chance of seeing one. I have seen up to three in a day on the Long Beach Peninsula during the above mentioned time frame.
