Interesting... back East, I regularly saw Myrtle Warblers foraging on the
ground with bluebirds and House Finches.

Terry Wahl’s 4 birds were last seen the day he found them (like 18 Nov) and
the the N Spit birds disappeared after 24 Nov when we had wind, rain, and
cold. They could easily be somewhere up the bay but no one would ever know
since there is so much great habitat and so few birders- we had our first
Tropical K on the Coquille Valley CBC on the 5 Jan 2019 plus all sorts of
other rarities- a count not to miss!
Mike Seedborg had what he thought was a calling LE OWL at his place in Coos
Bay on 3 Dec. He lives next to water board land with a mix of old trees and
I imagine clearcuts not far west? Anyhow, he hasn’t heard the owl again-
darn, would be a county bird for me- only five records I know of (one
breeding).
Four Palm Warblers on way into Floras Lake on Saturday along with many YR
Warblers. Interesting I have noticed in very open coastal habitats like
pastures the YR Warblers are always Audubons. When you get into thickets of
hardwoods and find large flocks they are almost certainly all Myrtles. Some
overlap but not much.
Today was at Floras Lake on day off with our dog- while walking cross
country I found a credit card- wow. Turns out it had my name on it- one I
had to cancel two months ago- crazy!
Bullock’s Oriole now in Bandon on eBird- we had one on the count last winter
too.
Eurasian Wigeon males still at Mingus Park, Coos Bay and Bandon Jetty area.
