The 2nd Applegate/Williams raptor survey was accomplished today (1-25-16)

American Kestrel - 4
Golden Eagle - 2 (1 in Jo Co, 1 in Jack Co)
Bald Eagle - 2 (adult)
Red-shouldered Hawk - 3
Merlin - 1
Peregrine Falcon - 1
Cooper's Hawk - 2
TWO! Golden Eagles...one in Josephine Co & 1 in Jackson Co (just east of
Provolt). There were 160 Wild Turkeys seen in 4 different flocks along the
route.
With the sighting of a GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE along New Hope Rd, I reached
my goal of 100 bird species in Josephine County before the end of January
(Golden Eagle # 99).
