I still have the installer for NVDA 2015.3, which I was able to create a
portable copy for testing purposes on my local hard drive. MVP speech players
seems to work better in NVDA 2015.3 then it does with NVDA 2016.2, note that I
used the same downloaded add on. That's why I'm suggesting it my have something
to do with the new eSpeak NG synthesizer.
It says on the bit bucket website envy access speech player, that most of the
phoneme data was copied mostly from me speak. Is it possible that the NV speech
player add on could be relying on those Espeak files? If so, a suggestion would
be to copy thee eSpeak files directly into The ad on, and change the directory
where the eSpeak files are being loaded from? I would do it myself, but, one,
I'm not that good a programmer, and two, I want to avoid legal trouble. I know
it's open source, but it still copyright, which means I still might need to ask
for permission to modify and distribute it under the GPL version two. I know
it's under that license, but even if I knew any of programming to make some
useful modifications, I would still want to make sure in case I do get in
trouble with the law.

yes, I confirm. Is not necessary to record the speech, look at the log:

Hello.----------------------------------------------------------------
I have noticed that there is a new bug with the NV Speech Player in the
latest NVDA. The speech does not sound correct. I think that this issue
appears because of the new e speak NG that comes with NVDA.
If you like, I can record NV Speech Player so you can here what it's
sounding like.
Thanks.
