Having watched traffic increased in North Takoma over the last five decades,
where a stop sign is sorely needed is at the intersection of Philadelphia and
Chicago. With the bus stops here discharging and picking up hundreds of MC
students from early morning through the evening (in non-covid era), there is no
protection whatsoever from crossing Philly to the campus and back again.The
only traffic control on Philly between Piney Branch and Fenton is the traffic
light at Takoma, Ave, a needless installation created only by the self interest
of a TP council member who lived on Takoma years ago. Baltimore Jay
