I just realised one caveat: there's a reasonable chance that AppleWorks will not be able to read Excel 4 files!!! It's an old format and quite often old formats are not widely supported (I've run into problems with Word 4/5, WordPerfect (any version) and Excel 4 problems before). Make sure that AW can read Excel 4 files before proceeding with that option.
