I think the audio failure is Flash related. The solution may take some time. A possible reason for some log-on problems:
Starting in Firefox 4 Beta 7, Firefox runs in 64-bit mode by default on Mac OS X 10.6 and requires Flash 10.1 or higher. (Firefox 4 on Mac OS X 10.5 or below can run older versions of Flash.) [33] You should update Flash if you are using an older version. If you already have Flash 10.1 or above and Flash still doesn't work (or if you need an older Flash version for some reason), you can run Firefox 4 in 32-bit mode as a workaround: Close Firefox, open the Applications folder in Finder, control-click the Firefox.app icon, select "Get Info", check the box, "Open in 32-bit mode", close the "Firefox Info" window and then restart Firefox.
