Linda, 
Don't kick yourself, this isn't an Outlook setting, it is a system
setting....Find out if only Outlook shows in green or if everything that
shows in a window shows in green.  My guess is that she changed her
desktop settings (Right click, properties, appearance, click on window,
change color).  {Details provided not for Linda, but for others on
list.... :) }  

Just a thought....
