========================== Specifically, quotes, apostrophes and probably other punctuation characters come through as little empty rectangles when the email is read as text only. ========================== Curly quote and Curly apostrophes do come thru as empty rectangles when the email is read as text because those characters don't have plain text equivalents. I believe that N-dashes and M-dashes do the same and ellipses do also (but I'm not sure). I think the solution is to not use such characters. Use plain quotes and apostrophes. Use plain hyphens. And use three periods instead of ellipses. James S.
