Why does this List Server add the extraneous "=3D" ?? It appears they =
are line breaks used in word-wrapping. I use Outlook and don't see this =
anomaly on any other List Server. Is there something I need to set on my =
end or can we all just read past them?

All the other advice given about zooming the document display is right =

on. But I think there is one more thing that the customer needs to do in =
=3D
order to make this his/her permanent setting. It sounds as if this is =
=3D
Word 2003 which I also no longer use but here is the procedure for Word =
=3D
2007 and it should be along parallel lines for Word 2003. Just do a Help =
=3D
Search on ZOOM for specifics:

Save a particular zoom setting with a document or template
To save a particular zoom setting with your document or template so that =
=3D
the document or template always opens with that zoom setting, you must =
=3D
make a change in the document or template first. Adding and deleting a =
=3D
single space are all that is necessary to make sure the document or =3D
template is edited and the setting is saved.
Open the document or template that you want to save with a particular =
=3D
zoom setting.
On the View tab, in the Zoom group, click Zoom.=3D20
Choose the setting that you want.
Add and delete a single space in the document or template.
Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Save.

Once again, this is something that each customer should be doing on =3D
their own and is not really part of your responsibility but in the =3D
spirit of good customer relations...... I think that everybody forgets =
=3D
about the HELP button on every program.

OK, I got her to send me a Word doc with images of Outlook and Word. =

Outlook seems to be fine--she's complaining that the month calendars in =

The Word issue is more of a problem. Although the Word window with the =

to be "Normal." I can see her zoom setting--it is 100%. I see that Word =

2007 has a setting to zoom to "page width," but I can't remember if Word =

2003 can do the same. But in any event, is zooming the answer?
By the way, I agree with your "diagnosis," but we can't really afford to =
=3D
=3D3D
have pissed-off customers, even if they are being utterly unreasonable. =
=3D
=3D3D
If I told you off-list the other nonsense she complained about, you'd =
=3D
=3D3D
have a stronger reaction than that. But the main thing is that she =3D3D
managed to configure things to her liking after she bought the computer =
=3D
=3D3D
(from us). But she has forgotten that she did that and insists that she =
=3D
=3D3D
got the computer already set up exactly as it was when she brought it in =
=3D
=3D3D
(except for the viruses).
