It's not the logo - same logo in both the "large" and "small" 
versions of the template.

Thanks for that reminder. I checked my settings, which were OK 
(Linda and Dian have trained me well. :D)

It's still a mystery to me. I just started from the beginning and 
came up with a 126KB template that works. Another quirk is that in 
some versions of templates and documents I created, the checkboxes 
for options (Urgent, For Review etc.) could be ticked by clicking 
on them, and in other versions nada. I made no changes to this area 
from the default Elegant Fax template.

I appreciate the suggestions.
