Two things. Check the file size/type of company logo,
graphics added to MS Word documents can make the documents
very large.=20

Do a file save as and resave under the same file name. See
if this reduces the size. If it does, check under Tools,
Options, that Fast Saves is not turned on. Fast saves
appends information to the end of a document, it doesn't
completely resave the document, so even if you delete items,
they aren't really gone.=20

Subject: [mso] Word Template - Large file size

Hi everyone.

I've created a simple template based on Word 2000's Elegant
Fax=20
template. In one version (I've been playing around with
this) the=20
file sizes are anywhere from 51-126KB. I added an automatic
field=20
for the date, company logo at the top and typed in address
info at=20
the bottom. In another version, with the same information,
whether=20
I save it as a new template, or a new document, the file
size is=20
1.12MB!

How in the world did the document become a file of that
size? Did I=20
add something that I can't see in the document?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Jan
