[mso] Word Template - Large file size

Hi everyone.
I've created a simple template based on Word 2000's Elegant Fax
template. In one version (I've been playing around with this) the
file sizes are anywhere from 51-126KB. I added an automatic field
for the date, company logo at the top and typed in address info at
the bottom. In another version, with the same information, whether
I save it as a new template, or a new document, the file size is
1.12MB!
How in the world did the document become a file of that size? Did I
add something that I can't see in the document?
