No...I didn't say they were installed as a group...I said they ARE a group...a group called the Proofing Tools. That's where you find these items in the install. But you can choose to select whatever you want and AutoHyphen is so rarely used, that it's not installed with the Standard Install. Not to all...you should ALWAYS shoot for the custom install...if for no other reason, than to go through each item and see what it is the program wants to install. When you first click a custom install...it's defaulted with the installation that you'd get under standard install. >From there you can check/uncheck items you want/don't want. Until recently, standard/default install would GIVE you all the Word Perfect help files, conversion filters and dialog tools...but would NOT install all the extra templates and wizards. So here's a standard user with their system loaded up with all this excess Word Perfect stuff they probably don't need and they're missing out on all the cool extra templates and wizards they probably would LOVE to use if they knew they existed. But without at least venturing into the custom install...you don't know WHAT you're getting! Obviously, if you're not experienced with installs, you should use much caution adding/removing choices. But there ARE dialogs next to the items when you click on them...that tells you what those items are for. So even if you still end up with the standard install...think of what a great learning experience you got! ;-) Dian Chapman Technical Consultant, Instructor, Microsoft MVP & TechTrax Editor Word AutoForm/VBA eBook: http://www.mousetrax.com/books.html Tutorial web site: http://www.mousetrax.com/techpage.html TechTrax Ezine: http://www.mousetrax.com/techtrax/ -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Diane Rainaud Sent: Sunday, September 08, 2002 6:22 PM To: MSO @ Freelists. I have now installed the AutoHypen feature and it works fine now...no error when I open that doc. But if these features are installed as a group you say, then I'm really confused about why I ever saw the error. ---------------------------- Dian Chapman wrote: The Proofing Tools are a separation part of the installation...which includes the Spell Checker, Grammar Checker and AutoHyphen. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
