It means that you don't have the hyphenation proofing tool installed,
but whoever sent you the doc does...and most likely have the auto
hyphenation turned on. Either continue as you're going if it doesn't
matter to you or insert your CD, use the Add/Remove icon that will
appear when the CD starts up and go add the hyphenation tool.

Subject: [mso] Word Hyphenating Error Message

Has anyone ever seen this message when trying to open a Word doc? I see
it occasionally when I get docs from others at work and have no idea
what it
means:

"Microsoft Word cannot hyphenate this document. This feature is not
currently installed. Would you like to install it now?" Options are to
click "Yes" or "No".

If I say "No" installing the feature (which is what I have always done),
the doc opens and this 2nd message displays on top of the open doc:

"Word cannot find the hyphenation file mshyph2.dll or mshy32.dll for
English (U.S.)." Only option is to click "OK". When I do so, I have no
apparent problem continuing to work with and edit the doc.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Word 2000 on
Windows ME.

Thanks.

Diane
