Hi Robert, and Linda, I think people are making some confusion there. Microsoft has announced a mandatory patch for new installations of Office 2003 and Office XP (Office 2003 SP2) that breaks part of the connection between Excel and Access, that being due to a patent lawsuit Microsoft recently lost to Amado (more details at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/904953/). It may be that people are interpreting this as meaning that Microsoft will discontinue Access, which is not the case.
