Don't worry, not VBA is required. If A1 contains your text string date,
enter this formula in B1:

        =DATEVALUE(A1)

Then select A1 and from the format menu, choose cells. Go to the number
tab, slect date and choose one of the offered formats.

Then simply bulk copy this formula to the other cells in column B.

Subject: [mso] Removing Apostrophe from start of date

I have a spreadsheet with dates that were entered as text (starting with
an
apostrophe). The data was exported from Outlook to Excel. I need to
convert
the text to dates. Please keep in mind that I do not know any Visual
Basic.
Please HELP!! Thank you.
