Yes, the email is great cos' I can get the post off as soon as I get
check email, usually within hours. I didn't bother to remove HTML
capabilities before, but will now and also will probably limit the text,
since most of these are huge posts, so with luck it'll stop them??

If this is a office group .. fp is included.. but since dian does not
use fp it is ot...
however I do.. so this is not... <grin>
I was using a form so people could enter their details to be listed if
they had a FrontPage site... with set layout... over the past year I've
had to take it down.. because some person has set some kind of robot on
it... (it must be a
robot) ... and it enters other people's sites .. (they know nothing
about it).. at first When I was waiting for linkbacks (people are
supposed to tell me the page they linkback on - they did not have to
before.. but it was getting out of hand .. so I put that on)... I would
email them and they would know nothing about it... so I took them off...
eventually I took down the form.. then I changed the name.. but the
robot found me again.. (i get an email when someone posts.. I was
getting over 200 at a time) ... so I've taken down the form .. which
allowed people to see their results straight away... now they have to
email me... sad isn't it?
by the by.. if anyone has a FrontPage discussion web.. be advised that
you can code it to send you an email... ditto the guestbook... I would
advise you don't have html turned on for that folder .. before viewing
it though.. no telling what will come through... so there you go... do I
get points for turning this cleverly into not ot?.. or points off for
hitting it square in the middle?<grin>
anyway thought I would add to the venting and spam story... I've gotton
over it but I'm mad cos I can't get my head around css... so someone has
to pay ... chortle chortle... (it's a chortle moment, on the premise
that if you don't laugh.... you....
