<<Or what does this line break does anyway?>> Basically it's this.....Word attaches styles based on paragraphs...whenever you hit Enter, Word sees this as starting a new paragraph so it doesn't keep the same paragraph styling associated with the first paragraph. However, when you use shift+enter, this tells Word you want to drop to the next line but NOT have a paragraph break, so you CAN maintain the same styling. Like I said...that's in a nutshell....I'm sure Dian can give you a much better explanation than me And no, Thomas, it isn't dumb of you to ask at all.....it's one of the things that is hardest to understand about Word, but very necessary to understand if you want Word to behave properly Take it away, Dian..... It does remove the formatting away and use the default format. I know the hotkeys for bold, italics and so on but just find it weird when this line break hotkey works in my school but not on my system. So at this stage after so much clarifications, that line break will work in style and not in format?? Or what does this line break does anyway? Visually which I can't see well enough to determine... Hope its not dump enough to ask though. ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
