Hi Thomas. I'm not quite sure what you are asking either, but I will go
out on a limb here since I know you are Asian. Is it possible you are
using "East Asian Text"? If so, there's a special setting you need to
change to make the line breaks work in Word 2002. Here's what I found
in the Help Files:

Adjust line breaks for East Asian text
The feature described in this Help topic is only available if support
for Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, or Korean is
enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings.

Place the insertion point in the paragraph where you want to apply a
line break control.
On the Format menu, click Paragraph, and then click the Asian Typography
tab.
Under Line break, select the Use Asian rules for controlling first and
last characters check box.

Did this fix it?

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what it is that you're trying to
accomplish? Can you provide another view of what it is you're doing? If
you're talking about Styles, maybe this article will help:

If I'm missing the mark of what it is you're talking about, let us know.
