You are going to be surprised how easy this is. If cell A1 is 1, change
= the value of cell A2 to "+A1+1" (without the quotes). Then copy cell
A2 = to each cell in column A. (There are several ways to do all of them
at =
once.) Each cell will then increase by 1 as you go down the column.

Hi,
I've got a spread sheet with a number of columns, one of them being an
ID column.
I have about one thousand rows in the spread sheet and the A column is
my ID.. so in cell A1, is the value 1, and in cell A2 is the value 2, in
cell A100 is the value 100.. ya know?
I've to insert a new row at A10, and so increment the whole ID column
after A10 by one.. so my new row's ID is 10, and the old ID 10 is
changed to 11.
Anyone tell me how to do this?.
