[mso] Re: Changing Contacts to Last, First

I downloaded and played with this a bit, Linda. It looks like a pretty
slick little proggy. But I've decided on a more simplistic approach.
I'm gonna export Contacts to a comma-delim file, change my Contact
Preferences to Last, First, then import the comma-delim file back into
Contacts.

It seemed to work pretty well on a small test of 20 contacts. Will let
you know how it goes when I do the entire list tomorrow.

Not as far as I know, tj...but there is a little program I found called
Outlook Updater, that seems to do this...it says this:

Copying and concatenating from field to field To clean up and
standardize Contact name formats, set the FileAs field to {LastName},
{FirstName} for all contacts=20

And there's a free 14-day trial version which might let you do it once
anyway....here's the link:

Good luck...let us know if this does it

I know how to change the default setting so that new contacts are
created using Last, First. But what about existing contacts? Is there
a way to change them easily? Or do I have to open each individual
contact and retype?
